The Ultimate Blackjack Joke

Most land casinos offer you the choice to play table games such as blackjack and poker.  My favorite has to be blackjack, as it combines elements of skill, luck and entertainment quite beautifully and the odds are great if you have sufficient knowledge of the basic blackjack strategy.  Whenever I have the chance, you’ll find me enjoying an hour or two of blackjack at casinos or card rooms.

To honor this great game, and all other off-shoots of 21, here is a collection of my favorite blackjack joke which never fails to raise a chuckle every time I tell it:

“A group of local gamblers from the suburbs were on a junket to Las Vegas. Everyone had a good time except one of the men who happened to win a staggering $150,000 at the blackjack tables that night. Not wanting any of the others to know about it, he took a later plane home and in the dead of night went to the back yard and buried the entire sum. When he woke up the next morning to contemplate his next move, he saw a large hole where the money had been buried. A trail of mud led to the next door neighbor’s house. The man who lived there was both deaf and mute. The winner quickly thought of a professor who lived not too far away that he knew was friendly with and regularly communicated with the deaf neighbor. He grabbed his pistol and made off to the professor’s house. Together, they returned to the neighbor’s house, where the situation heated up.

“Tell this guy that if he doesn’t give me back my $150,000, I’m going to kill him,” said the blackjack winner.  The professor communicated the message to the deaf guy, who signed back that he had hid it under the cherry tree in his own back yard.  The professor turned to the pistol wielding winner and said: “He said that he’d rather die before telling you where he hid the money…”
