I go through phases where I will play an online casino game intensely for a certain period and then give it a rest for another period. Recently, I went back to playing online roulette after a break of about a month. It’s not because I got tired of roulette, it was just that I was focusing on other options out there! Now that I’m back into roulette mode, I though I’d share a couple of tips regarding success in this classic game. Before we even continue, it’s important to remember that roulette is categorized as a game of chance, meaning that you can’t go off and learn a strategy that, statistically, increases your odds of winning (as you could in blackjack, say). There are, however, certain things that you can do to protect your bankroll and increase your winnings.
First of all, it’s important that you understand how roulette works. This is a particularly easy game to play and there aren’t that many rules to learn. However, you’ll do much better if you learn about the different wagers that exist on each game and what their payouts are. In that way, you’ll be able to place your bets wisely.
The next thing you need to remember is that there are different variants of roulette to be found out there. The best online casinos offer you several versions, the two most popular being American Roulette and European Roulette. I can strongly suggest that you stick to European Roulette because the odds on this game are simply better than American Roulette. The reason for this is that the latter has one extra zero on the wheel which decreases your chances of winning quite significantly. Playing games that have the en prison rule, for example, could improve your odds further (no, not all of them have this option).
Finally, you can improve your chances at roulette by making sure that you have a good bankroll strategy in mind. It’s easy to get caught up in the fun and excitement of roulette, and so I strongly suggest that you decide beforehand how much you wish to wager and when you are going to leave the roulette table – even if you’re on a roll. It’s better to win with the upper hand than to go away empty-handed, with no money to play with next time.
Happy spinning!
