Becoming an Online Casino Affiliate

There’s no denying that the online casino industry is one of the most revenue-generating in the world, and it is estimated that it is worth over $12 billion – and growing all the time. Everyone wants to get a piece of the action, and there are  lots of opportunity out there.  In the past decade, many people have become online casino affiliates, ie. they earn money from promoting players to online casinos.  Some people manage to earn a little bit of pocket money on the side, while others work at this full time and manage to make a very good salary while doing so.

But before you run off and give up your job to become a casino affiliate, here are a few things you need to know:

  • You have to be a good player before you can become a good casino affiliate.  We’re not talking about becoming professional gamblers  here, but you will still need to have a good and solid knowledge of the world of online gambling, and the best way to do this would be to play regularly and frequently at online casinos. Try to get in as wide a range of games as possible during your gaming sessions. After all, you won’t be able to promote something that you don’t know like the back of your hand.
  • Educate yourself on website design.  Again, you don’t need to be a professional designer, but a basic knowledge of HTML and an eye for graphics will definitely put you ahead of the competition.  Online casinos have great marketing teams that will help you along the way, but don’t rely only on them.
  • Become an SEO specialist.  Your biggest job as an online casino affiliate will be getting your site noticed, and to do so, you’ll have to know how to do so.  Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is your first step to targeting the right markets and you’ll need to arm yourself with a lot of research and education about this field to find your own niche in the massive online gambling industry and get your site noticed by potential players.
